Server Bot

This Discord bot enables you to create a Dread Hunger server in the cloud.

How to use​

  1. Use this link to invite the Bot to your Discord server.
  2. Send the !start command in the channel or DM where the bot can read it.
  3. The bot will send you an IP address. Use this IP to start the game in Dread Hunger (the game prompts you to enter the IP after departure).

Commands​

!start:
This command directs the bot to create a server in the cloud and send the IP address to your DM.

!start mod:
The original server has some bugs (Thralls cannot use spells).
This command allows you to start a server with the patched version, which user-created patch has been applied.

Choose map​

Specify the map when creating a server, as shown below:

  • !start summit
  • !start mod expanse
  • !start mod approach

Three maps are available: approach, expanse, and summit.
These correspond to the full names of the maps: Approach_Persistent, Expanse_Persistent, and Departure_Persistent.

Selecting Thrall's Spells (only mod)​

You can select which spells thralls can use by adding an option to the command.

  • -spells=all: all 5 spells can be used
  • -spells=random: 3 spells are randomly chosen.
  • -spells=random2: 2 randomly chosen spells
  • -spells=0,3,4: selects Cannibal attack, Spirit walking and Hush. Each number represents 0:Cannibal attack, 1:Whiteout, 2:Doppelganger, 3:Spirit walk, 4:Hush.

Example:
!start approach -spells=0,3 Cannibal attack and Spirit walk are available on the approach map.

Solo mode (only mod)​

You can play alone with this option, -solo.

warning

This mode currently has some bugs. No animals, No progress of time. The server will crash if you try to play with multiple members with solo mode.

Moon mode (only mod)​

Every one gets high jumps. -moon=2.0. values: 0.1 ~ 10

No damage mode (only mod)​

No one gets any single damage. -no_damage

Old expanse mode (only mod)​

You can play the old expanse map with this option. -old_expanse
Example: !start mod expanse -old_expanse

All participating players must have installed the content pack for the old Expanse map. Please get it from somewhere. We are not providing it.

Region of the server​

You can choose from three regions by adding one of us,eu,jp. Choosing a server closer to the player's region will reduce lag. Example: !start approach eu.

By default, us is selected.

The options work no matter which order you write them.

FAQ​

  • Q: Is this bot free?
    A: Currently, Yes.

  • Q: What is ticket?
    A: To create one server, you consume one ticket. Everyone receives three tickets refilled every hour. This system aims to prevent abuse and is subject to change.

Roadmap(Concept)​

  • Add more Mod servers (Any requests are welcome).
  • Implement monetization to sustain the bot, as I currently bear all server costs.
  • Gathering playing statistics and showing them such as win ratio.
